Ira: Up and coming band that I am obsessed with right now. Unique sound and amazing song writing.
‘Great Dane’ by Cosmo Pyke
Ira: An artist I just got into about a year ago and is now in my top 10 all time favorites. Only has an EP and I am hooked. This is One of my favorite songs off of their record. Soft, catchy melodies that get you hooked right away along with some unbelievable guitar tones.
‘Jump Out The Window’ by Big Sean
Ira: Amazing hooks and great flow. His music behind all of his raps is so intricate and well thought out.
‘C’ by Toe
Ira: The best instrumental band out there. Every record is so different from the other and it never gets old. Amazing song writing and guitar tones. Also one of the only bands that has a big, roomy snare drum and makes it work. I would almost say that it gives them their signature sound.
‘Coffee’ by Jodi
Pat: I love this song because it has such a cool low fi vibe, as does the rest of Jodi’s music. That tone mixed with the catchy melodies make this song get stuck in my head all the time.
‘Out of It’ by The Story So Far
Pat: I’ve always been a huge fan of TSSF, and I cannot wait for their new album to come out. I haven’t been able to stop listening to this single since it came out.
‘Into the Black’ by Chromatics
Pat: This cover of Neil Young’s ‘Hey, Hey, My, My (Into the Black)” is beautifully haunting. They turned what was already an incredible song into a modernized masterpiece.
‘REM’ by Nothing Nowhere
Austin: A friend of mine showed me this song and It was stuck in my head for days. The guitars and beats are awesome in this song.
‘Will He’ by Joji
Austin: This song is so Erie and creepy sounding but at the same time so beautiful and Relaxing. The vocal Melodies are also very catchy and really make you feel the emotion of the song.
‘Prin’ by Little Image
Austin: This band reminds me of so many bands I love and this song takes all of those elements and puts them into one. It starts out very slow and then builds throughout the song. I love songs that do that.
‘All of This’ by Blink 182
Austin: Blink got me into so much of the music I listen to and in ways inspires me in writing songs today. This track stands out to me so much because of the guest vocals from Robert Smith of the cure it’s also such a different sound from what the band normally does.
‘Lead, SD’ by Manchester Orchestra
Austin: This song has a very interesting structure and instrumentation. I admire the creative song writing.
‘Gauze’ by Gleemer
Spencer: This is the first song I heard by Gleemer and it immediately caught my attention. I love the way the instrumentation evenly supports the song as a whole.
‘No Signal’ by Chon
Spencer: The leads in the chorus are really interesting and the use of a trash stack on the kit adds a cool texture.
‘Now That This Old World Is Ending’ by Dan Romer
Spencer: Far Cry 5’s main menu music. I can’t get it out of my head and I’m cool with it.
