The Kraken Freaky Tiki Bar is heading to Boardmasters – here’s a playlist of some of the weekend’s top bands

Festival season is in full swing, and as any regular can attest there’s more going on than just massive headliners, must-see newbies and food vans. This summer, festival-goers can expect some fun thanks to The Kraken® Black Spiced Rum’s appearance.

If there’s one bar that has to make it on to the ‘must visit’ list, it’s The Kraken Freaky Tiki Bar, an immersive pop-up like no other. By day, visitors will be transported to a devilishly dark Polynesian realm on festival soil where they can sip on terrifyingly tempting rum cocktails and get their hands on lei prizes with hidden surprises along the way. When night falls, the space will come alive with DJ sets, tentacle-ridden fire pits, charcoal face painting and drumming rituals. Never mind the festival headliners, head to the Freaky Tiki Bar to awaken the Kraken… if you dare.

To celebrate the Freaky Tiki Bar’s appearance at Boardmasters in Cornwall this weekend (8th-12th August), here’s a playlist featuring some of the top bands playing – from headliner The Chemical Brothers, Upset faves Black Foxxes and legends Ash and Feeder, all the way down to buzzy newcomers FEET, Lady Bird, Yonaka and Lucia.
