Cory Wells has released a cover of Linda Ronstadt‘s song, ‘Long, Long Time’.
The 1970 hit has recently had a resurgence due to featuring on HBO series The Last Of Us.
Speaking about the cover, Cory says: “I have been a fan of “The Last of Us” since it came out originally in 2013. However, I wasn’t super familiar with Linda Ronstadt’s work, so when I heard her song in episode 3, it perfectly encapsulated the story, which I’ve loved for so long, and led me down a Linda rabbit hole. Creating my own version of it was definitely a bit tough. I wanted to make it my own, but her style is very different than mine. Finding that balance between us proved to be both challenging and extremely rewarding.”
