Skrillex will release his new album ‘Quest For Fire’ this Friday

  • February 12, 2023
  • Lucy Phillips

Skrillex has confirmed that his latest album, ‘Quest For Fire’, will be released this Friday, February 17th. The record follows his debut, ‘Recess’, released in 2014 and numerous singles released in the past year.

Skrillex teased some of the tracks during a recent basement DJ set, sharing a list of track names and collaborations. Included are previously released songs such as ‘Rumble’, ‘Xena’ and ‘Leave Me Like This’, as well as ‘Butterflies’ with Four Tet and Starrah, ‘Too Bizarre’ with Swae Lee and Siiickbrain and ‘Supersonic (My Existence)’ with Noisia, Josh Pan and 100 Gecs’ Dylan Brady. Other collaborations include Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Missy Elliott and Porter Robinson.

Skrillex is yet to confirm a release date for his other project ‘DGTC’, though he did tease more unreleased music at his three secret shows in London. The artist revealed in January that his absence from music came down to 2022 being “the toughest year of my life”.

“For the first time in 4-5 years I’ve found a new sense of peace. It took so much work and sacrifice to get here,” he said. “The support you’ve all shown over the years does mean the world and I’ll continue to work on myself and not get into a situation where I have to cancel shows / go into hiding.”
